The Soccerade drinks are a result of many years of product development including test marketing for eight years. AN INNOVATIVE SPORTS DRINK BASED ON SOLID ROOTS.
Soccerade is powered by Leppin products.
Leppin products started life in South Africa in the mid-1980’s. The products were based on research into the use of long-chain carbohydrates to prevent muscle and energy depletion during long events. These long chain carbohydrates, sometimes known as glucose polymers, provide a very concentrated source of energy that is low in bulk and quickly digested and absorbed. This is important because the body can absorb energy in this form even during hard exercise when the rate of absorption can be reduced. Leppin was the first company to supply energy in this form. Throughout the range, Leppin use this specifically structured, long-chain carbohydrate as the main energy source. This allows the energy to be absorbed easily at high levels, even during hard exercise. This is something that is difficult to achieve with simple carbohydrates and glucose.
A FEW MILESTONES...
Early 1980s: Mr. Tim Noakes, Professor of Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Cape Town, invents a formula, with a group of friends, for long–distance runners and calls it Leppin.
The formula was created for their own use during their long–distance runs and competitions. Leppin was genuinely designed by athletes for athletes; therefore the product is full of soul, enthusiasm, and integrity—three key attributes that make it usable and relevant for athletes and non-athletes alike.
Leppin is used and endorsed by the world’s top athletes due to the quality of its stable and long–lasting flow of energy.
Olympic Marathon Champion Samuel Wanjiru used Leppin for his win in Bejing 2008. National teams in soccer and other sports, top–level soccer clubs and soccer players have used the products before, during and after training and competition.
